1st Semester Reflection
- Quality of Work
I feel like this semester I took my time on all of my assignments and perfected them. I got many opinions and perspectives to see how I could improve each one. For most projects, I started with one idea and it gradually turned into another. I would keep adding onto the assignments to improve them. I would start with one idea in mind and end up with a totally different project for most of them. I made sure everything I turned in met the required criteria (ex. size and resolution).
- Effort
Each one of my project took at least one whole class period or more to complete, because I’m always judging and perfecting my own work. Like I said before, I also like gathering other opinions to help improve the final product. I have no problem helping my class mates when they have questions and I make my best effort to support them in any way I can. I try to make every project unique and different from my previous work, which adds diversity to my blog. I started out the year a little slow because I had already done most of the given projects last year, but once we started getting different ones I challenged myself.
- Participation
I am always on time, if not early to this class. Most of the time I work all the way through the class period, but if I’m finished with my final project, I usually work on other class work. I for the most part work independently, but occasionally I ask for someone’s advice, whether it be the teacher or a classmate. I stay focused and organized in this class. At first, I was a little slow getting in my projects on time but I kicked myself into gear and began trying.
- Improvement
I see a lot of me in my work. For example, my photographs are simple, focused and girly. I don't see too much improvement so far because I already knew the rule of thirds trick and using different angles. However. My friend and I do photoshoots of our own outside of school and I've learned so much about how to use sunlight to your advantage. I've learned about creating silhouettes and snapping pictures during the golden hour to give the image a different feel.
